What’s your favourite Sunday afternoon thing to do?

I’ve got lots of favourite pastimes. And for many years it was definitely NOT a walk in the forrest. Ugh, that thing you had to do with your parents when you where little. But that is how the story goes; you get older, become a parent and before you know it, you walk in the forest with some relatives and some grumpy children, who hate walking in nature ofcourse, simply because they have to…

My niece J. and I also had other motivations. We went to an Ugg monstersale last Friday and bought the most beautiful AND cheapest Uggs ever, for the whole family. They had to be worn!!

Al een tijd lang gonsde het van de geruchten in Ouderkerk a/d Amstel. Er stond iets te gebeuren, maar wat, daar kon niemand antwoord op geven. Her en der plopten er zwarte borden tevoorschijn, eerst 1, toen twee en later wel 3.  Zwart waren ze, met witte letters… UGG Monstersale!!!

Moet je mij hebben. I LOVE GOEIE MONSTERSALES.

Hotspot Amsterdam: REM-island

This is where I went last Sunday, REM-Island. All ingredients where there for a good late afternoon: a great location, an overwhelming view, three of my BFF’s and ofcourse… my iPhone.

REM-Island is situated in Amsterdam right at the IJ lake and the Minerva harbour. It has a rich history (no, not as a drilling platform), starting in the sixties as a more or less illegal, commercial TV station in the North Sea,  (more history you can read here). In 2011, after a huge renovation (they build a departement on top of it) it started as a hotspot restaurant in Amsterdam.

So this Sunday – I couldn’t stop shooting pics – I had to force myself to follow my friends upstairs. I could convince them to take the stairs instead of the elevator, I didn’t want to miss anything of this giantic view.

W. kwam er als eerste mee: “Bon, jij bent toch single?! Je MOET de Tinder app proberen. Superleuk, ik heb zeker al 4 goeie dates achter de rug!”

Daten, pfff. De gedachte alleen al bezorgt me slapeloze nachten. Moet ik weer oppas regelen, mezelf gaan afvragen of ik wel aan de standaard voldoe… Nee, ik ben het daten inmiddels allang verleerd. En van een potje gluren naar beschikbare mannen via een dating app word ik ook niet meer warm of koud.

At weekdays you can spot me most of the times at Hollands biggest publisher Sanoma, where I work as a so called strategy & conceptmanager. I say most of the times, because my job offers the freedom of working at any given time as long as you make the 38 hours (in my case 32). As a strategy & conceptmanager you frequently have contact with advertisers for whom you think in marketingsolutions (get it?).
